Rosita Paco Corpuz, 87, of Hilo died April 20 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in the Philippines, she was retired from Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corp. and a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Casual attire. Nicholas L. Guerrero Jr. 74, of Pahoa died April 22 in Honolulu. Born in Honolulu, he was a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation 11 a.m.-noon Monday (May 16) at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel in Honolulu. Mitsue “Mitzi” Iwashita, 88, of Pahoa died April 12 at Straub Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Pohakea (Paauilo Mauka), she was a pantry helper at several restaurants, cake decorator, seamstress and member of Pahoa Nikkei Jin Kai . Derek Wayne Noble, 68, of Pepeekeo died April 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kohala, he was a truck driver for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. U.S. Army National Guard veteran.
